Introduction
TRACE is a memory game about movement: a point travels across the screen, and once it is gone you reproduce the same path, at the same tempo, in one continuous gesture. It contains 120 hand-authored challenges and an optional Daily TRACE, and a faithful reproduction is scored as Perfect. This app is designed to work without accounts, tracking, analytics, advertising, or developer-side storage of user-created content. TRACE works entirely offline.
Information We Do Not Collect
This app does not collect personal information from users. Specifically, the developer does not collect:
- Name, email address, phone number, or physical address
- Contact list or address book data
- Photos or media from your device
- Precise or approximate location data
- Financial account information or payment card information
- Advertising identifiers or device identifiers used for tracking
- Analytics or behavioral data
- User-created content stored on developer servers
Information Stored Locally on Your Device
TRACE may store the following data locally on your device: which challenges you have completed and how far you have unlocked; your best score and rating for each challenge, and how many attempts you have made; your Daily TRACE results; and your app settings (sound, haptics, reduced motion, appearance). This is written to two small files inside the app's own storage area. The gestures you draw are scored on your device and are not saved. None of this data is transmitted to the developer or any external server.
App Permissions
TRACE does not request access to sensitive device permissions such as location, camera, microphone, or contacts. The app is fully functional offline and does not require any special device permissions to operate. It uses the touchscreen, the haptic engine and the speaker, none of which require your permission.
Third-Party Services
This app does not integrate third-party analytics services, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs. It contains no third-party code of any kind. TRACE does not connect to the internet at all: every challenge ships inside the app, and all gameplay and scoring logic runs entirely on your device.
Data Sharing
The developer does not sell, trade, rent, or share user data with third parties. There is no developer-side database of user-created content. Your information stays on your device.
Data Deletion
You can delete your data at any time by resetting your progress through the app's Settings screen, which clears your campaign progress, best scores and Daily TRACE history while keeping your settings. Deleting the app from your device removes all locally stored data associated with it, settings included.
Children's Privacy
This app does not knowingly collect personal information from children or from any users, as it does not collect personal information in general. The app is designed to function without any personal data being transmitted to the developer.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This privacy policy may be updated if the app's features change in a way that affects how information is handled. When updated, the revised policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
