How do I play?
Watch the point move. When it disappears and the screen reads TRACE, touch the start point and draw the same movement in one stroke — the same shape, at the same speed, stopping where it stopped. Lift your finger to see both lines together. A score of 70 completes a challenge; the word under the score tells you the one thing to fix: TOO FAST, MISSED PAUSE and so on.
What is free, and what is TRACE Complete?
Free, always: challenges 1 to 40, Daily TRACE every day, one Endless run a day, and your Movement Memory with 30 days of history.
TRACE Complete is a single, optional one-time purchase. It adds challenges 41 to 150, unlimited Endless runs and your full Movement Memory history. There is no subscription and there are no ads.
I bought TRACE 1.0. Do I pay again?
No. Everyone who owned TRACE 1.0 keeps everything, automatically. If anything shows as locked — for example on a new iPhone — open Settings ▸ Restore Purchase, signed in with the Apple Account you bought TRACE with.
I bought TRACE Complete and things are still locked
Open Settings ▸ Restore Purchase. It asks the App Store whether your Apple Account owns TRACE Complete and tells you plainly either way. Make sure you are online and signed in with the same Apple Account. Family Sharing is not available for this purchase.
What is Endless?
A run of movements that ask a little more of your memory each time — longer, with changes of pace, pauses and a wait before you trace. Each movement is shown once; the first one that does not pass ends the run. Your best run is kept.
What is Movement Memory?
One number, 0 to 1000: your ten best attempts of the last seven days, each weighted by how much that movement asks you to remember. Practice never lowers it — a weak attempt simply does not count — but days you don't play slowly leave the window. It is a measure of this game only, not a medical or cognitive assessment.
My score feels wrong
TRACE scores the path, the direction, the rhythm and the timing separately. The most common surprise is speed: a perfect shape drawn twice as fast as shown will not score well. Start exactly on the point, and keep your finger down until the end of the movement.
