Introduction
Tiny Promise helps you make small promises to yourself and answer honestly whether you kept them. Everything you enter stays on your iPhone. The developer does not collect it, cannot see it, and there is no server for it to go to.
Information We Do Not Collect
Tiny Promise has no account and no sign-up. It collects no personal data, no usage data, no analytics, no crash reports, no identifiers and no location. It contains no advertising, no AI services and no third-party code.
What Tiny Promise Stores on Your Device
The promises you write, their dates and time windows, whether you kept, broke or let go of each one, the reasons and notes you add when a promise is broken, your renewing promises, your reminder times, the milestones you have reached and your app settings. This is stored only on your iPhone, in the app's own protected storage, and is included in your iPhone's own iCloud or computer backup if you use one — exactly like any other app's data. The developer has no access to those backups.
App Permissions
Notifications — asked for only when you turn on a reminder or make a timed promise. Reminders and "Time's up" notifications are scheduled on the iPhone itself; no notification is sent from a server. You can hide the text of your promises from notifications, the Lock Screen countdown and Lock Screen widgets in Settings. Tiny Promise asks for no other permission: no camera, photos, location, contacts, calendar or microphone.
Widgets and Live Activities
To show today's promises and your self-trust score, the app writes a small summary to a storage area on your iPhone that it shares only with its own widget. The Lock Screen countdown for a timed promise is shown by iOS on the device. When you tap Kept or Broke it on a widget or the countdown, iOS asks Tiny Promise on the same iPhone to record your answer. Nothing leaves the iPhone.
Siri and Shortcuts
You can make a promise, mark it kept, or ask for today's promise or your self-trust score with Siri or the Shortcuts app. These actions are carried out by Tiny Promise on your iPhone. Tiny Promise sends nothing to the developer or any server. How Siri itself processes your voice is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not by Tiny Promise.
Backups, Export and Sharing
You can save a backup of all your promises as a file and restore it later; with Tiny Promise Pro you can also export your history as a CSV file and create a "Year in Promises" image. Each file is created on your iPhone and goes only where you choose to save or share it — for example the Files app or iCloud Drive, under your own account. The app never uploads anything, and restoring a backup only adds promises that aren't already on your iPhone.
Payments and Purchases
Tiny Promise Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. The developer never receives your name, Apple Account or payment details. To sell and restore the purchase, the app talks to the App Store — this is the only network connection it makes. A small "Pro purchased" flag is kept in the iOS Keychain on your iPhone so the purchase is recognised again after reinstalling.
Third-Party Services
None. The app uses only Apple's own frameworks.
Data Sharing
Nothing is shared with anyone, because nothing is collected.
Data Deletion
Delete a single promise in the app, use Delete all promises in Settings, or delete the app to remove your promises from your iPhone. Only the "Pro purchased" flag described above stays in the Keychain. Backup and CSV files and images you saved or shared are yours to delete.
Children's Privacy
The app collects no data from anyone, including children.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
