If you are reporting a problem, it helps to include your iPhone model, your iOS version, and what you were doing when it happened. Please do not send screenshots containing personal documents.
My reminder never arrived
Reminders arrive at 9:00 in your local time, on the days before the date that you selected.
If nothing arrives, check Settings › Notifications › Countdown on your iPhone and make sure Allow Notifications is on. If notifications were declined once, iOS will not ask again — it has to be turned back on there. The app shows a warning in the entry screen when this is the case.
A reminder is only scheduled if the reminder day is still in the future. Choosing "90 days before" for a date that is 10 days away schedules nothing.
My widget says "Unlock to see your dates here"
Widgets are part of the one-time unlock. If you have already paid, open the app once — the widget updates as soon as the app confirms your purchase. If it still says locked, open Settings inside the app and tap Restore purchase.
If you were using widgets before the 2.0 update, they stay available to you at no charge. Open the app once after updating so it can carry your access over.
I paid but the features are locked
Open Settings inside the app and tap Restore purchase. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you used to buy. The unlock is a one-time purchase, not a subscription, and it works on every device signed in to that account.
If restoring does not work, email me with the date of purchase and I will help.
What does the free version include?
Ten active items, with one reminder each. Reminders are never restricted — the app's job is to tell you in time, and that works without paying. Archived items do not count toward the ten, so you never have to delete your history to make room.
The one-time unlock adds unlimited items, widgets, repeating items, more than one reminder per item, receipt and document photos, and CSV export.
Where is my data?
On your iPhone, and nowhere else. There is no account and no server. The app makes no network requests except to Apple when you purchase or restore.
Because of this, data is not synced between devices and is not recoverable by the developer if you delete the app. If you want a copy of your items, use CSV export in Settings.
How do I delete everything?
Swipe an item to delete it, or use Delete all data in Settings to remove everything including attached photos. Deleting the app also removes all of its data from your device.
I upgraded from Tiny Expiry, Tiny Warranty or Tiny Maintenance
Those apps are now part of this one. Countdown covers everything they did — warranties, expiry dates, and recurring service — in a single list with a single set of reminders.
Data does not transfer automatically between separate apps on iOS, so items you created in those apps need to be entered here. If you have a lot of them, email me and I will help you find the quickest way.
Requesting a feature
Send it to the address above. The app is deliberately small and not everything gets added, but every message is read and a lot of what is in it came from users.
