Email murathanoran1@gmail.com. One person reads every message, usually within two business days. Telling me which iPhone you have, your iOS version and what you were doing when something went wrong makes it much easier to help.

How is today's number worked out?

From the money your budget has left and the days that remain. Spend less than your share today and the coming days get a little more; spend more and they get a little less. On a paycheck plan, your bills and savings are set aside on payday first, so the number only ever shows money that is really yours to spend.

What does "Can I afford it?" do?

Type a price and Left shows what it would do to every day until the budget ends: whether it fits in today, fits if the coming days carry it, leaves them thin, or is more than you have. Choose Set It Aside and today's number counts it straight away; on its day, Left asks whether you bought it.

How do goals work?

A goal is something you are saving for. It fills three ways: a saving in your paycheck plan linked to the goal is added each time it is set aside on payday; what's left at the end of a budget can be saved into it; and you can add or take out money by hand. Money in a goal is already set aside — it is never part of today's number.

What is free, and what is Left Premium?

For the first 14 days everything is open. After that, free for good: today's number, logging expenses, your current budget, backups and import.

Left Premium is a single, optional one-time purchase. It adds the paycheck plan, goals, "Can I afford it?", rollover, widgets and Left on Apple Watch, insights, the lock, your full history, CSV export and alternative app icons. There is no subscription and there are no ads.

I bought Left before. Do I pay again?

No. Everyone who bought Left Premium keeps it, with everything new in 3.0 included, automatically. If anything shows as locked — for example on a new iPhone — open Settings ▸ Restore Purchase, signed in with the Apple Account you bought Left with.

Left on Apple Watch shows nothing, or an old number

Open Left on your iPhone once: it sends the watch the latest figures. The watch shows today's number and lets you log a quick amount; your iPhone files it the next time Left runs there. Left on Apple Watch is part of Left Premium.

Can I bring my spending from another app?

Yes. Export a CSV from your old app or your bank, then open Settings ▸ Import Expenses from CSV. Left shows exactly what it will add before adding anything. Only expenses dated inside the budget you are in are imported, the same expense is never added twice, and you can undo the import straight after.

I have a new iPhone

Left keeps everything on your iPhone only, so make an encrypted backup first: Settings ▸ Back Up, with a passphrase you choose. On the new iPhone, choose Restore from Backup and the same passphrase. Nobody, including the developer, can open a backup without its passphrase.

Privacy
