I bought Atlas before version 2.0. Do I have to pay again?
No. Everything stays unlocked for you, and there is nothing to pay. Atlas checks two independent things — the original App Store purchase recorded against your Apple Account, and the progress your earlier version saved on the device — and either one is enough. If neither is readable for some reason, open Settings ▸ Restore Purchase.
I bought Atlas Complete and countries are still locked
Open Settings ▸ Restore Purchase. That asks the App Store whether your Apple Account owns Atlas Complete, and it always answers — either everything unlocks or it tells you plainly that no purchase was found.
If nothing was found and you are sure you paid: check that you are signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with, and that you have a network connection, since the App Store cannot be asked without one. Family Sharing members get Atlas Complete too. If it still refuses, email me with the date of the purchase.
What is free?
The 60 largest countries in every mode — World, Practice, Capitals and Flags — all of Continents, and the Daily Five every day. There are no adverts, and nothing is taken away if you never buy anything.
Atlas Complete is one optional purchase, made once, that adds the other 117 countries to every mode. There is no subscription and nothing else to buy.
Why is a tier I earned still locked?
World Mode opens new tiers of countries as you master the ones you have. Tiers beyond the first 60 countries are part of Atlas Complete, so a free player can earn them but plays them after unlocking. Your progress is kept either way.
The Daily Five
Five countries a day, the same five for everyone, chosen on your own device. There is no streak to keep up and nothing is lost if you skip a day.
Resetting progress
Settings ▸ Reset Local Progress. It asks first, because it cannot be undone: your progress lives only on your device and there is no copy anywhere else. Your purchase is not affected — that is held by Apple, not by the app.
Does Atlas work offline?
Yes. The map and every country ship inside the app. The only time Atlas uses a network at all is when you view, buy or restore Atlas Complete.
Accessibility
Every map question can also be answered from a searchable list of countries, which works with VoiceOver. Text follows your Dynamic Type size, and the app works in light and dark mode. If something is unusable for you, please write — that is a bug, and it is treated as one.
