How does scanning work?
Tap Scan and point the camera at a barcode, or tap the name on a label or a menu. If you have saved it before, Again shows your verdict right away — Again, Maybe or Not Again — with your score, your reasons and your tip for next time. If it is new to you, give it a name (Again suggests one from the label) and tap a verdict: saved. Next time you scan it, that is what you will see.
Scanning happens on your iPhone and only matches your own entries — Again has no online product database. You can also scan from a photo you already took.
What are Favorites, Avoid and Usuals?
Favorites are things you marked with the heart. Avoid lists everything you said Not Again to, so you never pick it twice. Usuals are what you always order — at a place, they come first. Swipe right on an entry to make it a favorite.
What is free, and what is Again Premium?
Free, always: unlimited scanning, verdicts and scores, reasons and "next time" tips, favorites and the Avoid list, search and filters, places, iPhone Search, backup and restore, the share card, and up to 15 entries. If you used Again before version 3.0, unlimited entries stay free for you.
Again Premium is a single, optional one-time purchase — no subscription. It adds unlimited entries, photos on your entries, Home Screen widgets, your usual order, Menu match (see your verdicts on a photographed menu), the To Try list and verdict history, import from a spreadsheet, Siri lookups and more share card styles.
I bought Premium in an earlier version. Do I pay again?
No. Again Premium uses the same purchase as before, so it unlocks automatically. If it doesn't, use Restore Purchase (below).
I bought Premium and things are still locked
Open Settings ▸ Restore Purchase in Again. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple Account you bought it with and that you are online. If a family member asked to buy, Premium unlocks once the purchase is approved.
How do I add widgets and the Scan button?
Touch and hold your Home Screen, tap Edit ▸ Add Widget and choose Again: Again lists shows your favorites, what to avoid or your usuals (Premium), and Scan with Again opens the scanner in one tap (free, also on the Lock Screen). On iOS 18 or later you can add the Scan with Again control to Control Center or assign it to the Action Button.
Can I add things from other apps?
Yes. In Safari, Photos, Notes or almost any app, tap Share and choose Again. Give it a name and a verdict; it appears in your list the next time you open Again. You can also say "Add to Again" to Siri, or use the Again actions in the Shortcuts app.
Can I bring my ratings from another app?
With Again Premium, open Settings ▸ Import from a Spreadsheet (CSV) and pick a CSV file. Again reads a name column (for example "Title" or "Name") and, if present, a rating, notes, place and date. Exports from apps such as Untappd or Vivino work too. Ratings out of 10 or 100 are converted to 5.
How do I back up or move to a new iPhone?
Your data is part of your iPhone's own backup (iCloud or computer). You can also make a single backup file in Settings ▸ Back Up All Data — it contains every entry, place, verdict and photo — and restore it on any iPhone with Restore from Backup. Restoring adds and updates entries and never deletes anything.

Again follows your device language and is available in English, Deutsch, Español, Français, Italiano, 日本語, Português (Brasil) and Türkçe.
Privacy
Again has no account and collects no data. Your entries, photos and scans stay on your iPhone. Read the full privacy policy.
