Introduction
RULE is a minimalist deduction game: you are shown examples, you work out the hidden rule that connects them, and you choose the answer that follows the same rule. Nobody tells you the rule beforehand. It contains 200 handcrafted puzzles across eight worlds, with no timers and no penalty for a wrong answer. This app is designed to work without accounts, tracking, analytics, advertising, or developer-side storage of user-created content. RULE works entirely offline.
Information We Do Not Collect
This app does not collect personal information from users. Specifically, the developer does not collect:
- Name, email address, phone number, or physical address
- Contact list or address book data
- Photos or media from your device
- Precise or approximate location data
- Financial account information or payment card information
- Advertising identifiers or device identifiers used for tracking
- Analytics or behavioral data
- User-created content stored on developer servers
Information Stored Locally on Your Device
RULE may store the following data locally on your device: which puzzles you have solved and which of those you solved after taking a hint; which puzzles you have opened but not yet solved; which puzzle to return to when you continue; and your app settings (sound, haptics, and whether the rule is shown after solving). This is written to a single file inside the app's own storage area, together with the three settings switches. None of this data is transmitted to the developer or any external server.
App Permissions
RULE does not request access to sensitive device permissions such as location, camera, microphone, photos, contacts, or notifications. The app is fully functional offline and does not require any special device permissions to operate.
Third-Party Services
This app does not integrate third-party analytics services, advertising networks, or tracking SDKs, and it contains no third-party code, libraries, or bundled assets of any kind. RULE does not connect to the internet at all: every puzzle ships inside the app, and all game logic runs entirely on your device.
Data Sharing
The developer does not sell, trade, rent, or share user data with third parties. There is no developer-side database of user-created content. Your information stays on your device.
Data Deletion
You can delete your data at any time by resetting your progress through the app's Settings screen, or by deleting the app from your device. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data associated with it. Because nothing is stored anywhere else, there is no copy of your progress to recover once it is deleted.
Children's Privacy
This app does not knowingly collect personal information from children or from any users, as it does not collect personal information in general. The app is designed to function without any personal data being transmitted to the developer.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
This privacy policy may be updated if the app's features change in a way that affects how information is handled. When updated, the revised policy will be posted on this page with a new effective date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
