Email murathanoran1@gmail.com. One person reads every message, usually within two business days. Your iPhone model and iOS version help. Please never send the contents of a letter or a backup password — they are not needed and nobody should ever ask you for them.

The app used to be called Future Me

Same app, new name. Updating keeps every letter you sealed, its photos and its opening date, and a previous purchase of Unlimited carries over automatically.

What is free, and what is Letterseal Unlimited?

Free: up to five sealed letters at a time, one photo per letter, writing questions, replies, the yearly reminder, widgets, the live countdown, Face ID lock, password-protected backups and keepsake PDFs.

Letterseal Unlimited is a single one-time purchase. It adds unlimited sealed letters, voice letters of up to five minutes, up to six photos per letter and surprise opening dates. There is no subscription and there are no ads.

I bought Unlimited and something is locked

Open Settings ▸ Restore Purchases while online and signed in with the Apple Account you bought it with. The app tells you plainly whether a purchase was found.

When does a letter open?

At 9:00 AM on the day you chose, in your phone's time zone. You get a reminder the day before and another when it opens, as long as notifications are allowed for Letterseal in the Settings app. Changing the phone's clock does not open a sealed letter early.

What is a surprise date?

You pick a window — 1 to 3 months, 3 to 12 months or 1 to 3 years — and Letterseal picks the day in secret. Nothing shows it: not the list, not the widget, not the reminders. You find out when it opens.

Can I read a letter early?

Yes, deliberately. On a sealed letter's countdown screen, tap Edit Message and confirm. Most of a letter's value is in not knowing yet, so the app asks first.

Moving to a new iPhone

In Settings ▸ Back Up, choose a password and save the backup file somewhere you trust, such as the Files app or a computer. On the new phone, install Letterseal and use Settings ▸ Restore from Backup with the same password. Restoring only adds letters that are missing; it never changes letters already on the phone.

The password is never stored. If it is lost, the backup cannot be opened by anyone, including the developer.

The widget doesn't appear

Open Letterseal once after installing or updating, then touch and hold the Home Screen or Lock Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and search for Letterseal. To keep letter names off the Lock Screen, turn off Show names outside the app in Settings.

Privacy

Letterseal has no account, no server and collects no data; your letters stay on your phone. Read the full privacy policy.
